“HUGHUG Cafe” is the parent-and-child cafe inside the indoor play facility “Keio Asobi no Mori HUGHUG.” A miniature steam train circles the outside of the cafe, which is more than enough to lock any child’s attention in. Inside there’s a kids’ space set up so parents can relax while watching their child play.
It’s popular, and on weekends you can easily hit a 40-minute wait. The saving grace: if you put your name in, they’ll call you by phone while you’re inside HUGHUG playing. Essentially the wait converts entirely into “play time” — perceived wait is close to zero. For any parent using HUGHUG, this reservation flow is basically required knowledge.
The menu covers both adults and kids well, with a dedicated kids’ menu for small children. Baby chairs are available too, so even kids too young to sit alone at a table are covered. “Child-friendly” is a phrase every place claims, but this cafe is the kind that actually delivers on it.
The food itself is genuinely tasty, with portions that feel fair for the price. The classic parent-child cafe problem — “kids loved it, parents’ food was meh” — doesn’t really apply here; the balance is right. After a day of playing, this is the dependable stop.
